Los Angeles-area attractions are hosting Halloween events. Universal Studios Hollywood is offering Halloween Horror Nights on select dates from Sept. 21 through Oct. 31, with the “Terror Tram,” mazes and other features. General admission is $66. Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor on the Queen Mary in Long Beach takes place on select dates, Oct. 5 to 31, with mazes, monsters and 20-foot-tall flames. General admission is $24.
The Paranoia Haunted Attraction at Santa Monica Place takes place on select dates from Sept. 28 through Oct. 31 with three mazes. General admission is $24. The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride at the Old Zoo at Griffith Park takes place on select dates, Oct. 5 to 31, offering a night ride through abandoned cages and habitats in the woods of Griffith Park, as well as a maze, a sideshow called “Purgatory” and other features. General admission is $34.
The Old Town Haunt at the historic Union Savings Bank Building in Pasadena takes place on select nights, Oct. 5 to 31, with detailed sets from Hollywood TV shows such as “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “'Power Rangers” and movies such as “House of 1,000 Corpses” and “Haunted Mansion.” Tickets are $15 (Oct. 5 to 12) and $17 (Oct. 26 to 31). The Hollywood Forever Cemetery of the Stars tour takes place on select dates from Sept. 22 through Nov. 17, offering a tour of crypts, mausoleums and monuments and stories about Hollywood’s history, scandals and mysteries. Admission is $12.
The West Hollywood Halloween Carnival takes place Oct. 31 along a stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard and features a pet costume contest, “Drag Racing” for revelers dressed in drag, and pumpkin carving contests, among other festivities. Admission is free.
